Nanyang Technological University

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is a research-intensive university with globally acknowledged strengths in science and engineering. NTU is ranked among the world's top 100 universities by the Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings 2008.

The university has roots that go back to 1955 when Nanyang University was set up. Today, NTU has four colleges with 12 schools, and three autonomous entities, the National Institute of Education,  the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies, and the Earth Observatory of Singapore.

NTU provides a high-quality global education to more than 21,000 undergraduates and 9,400 graduate students. The student body includes top scholars and international olympiad medallists from the region and beyond.

Hailing from more than 40 countries, the university's 2,600-strong teaching and research staff bring dynamic international perspectives and years of solid industry experience.

NTU has other campuses in US, Europe, India and China hosted by well-known partner universities, such as Georgia Institute of Technology in the US, University of St Gallen in Switzerland and Indian Institute of Technology and Peking University in Asia.  Through the university's flagship Global Immersion Programme, covering 19 cities in six countries, NTU undergraduates also spend from six months up to a year at these overseas campuses.
